Microscale fluid flow with emphasis on BioMEMS device design and development. The length scales associated with microfuldic systems introduce complications not normally found in macroscale systems that make it difficult or impossible directly scale macroscale processes to take advantage of the many benefits of microflows.  Current research efforts are being focused on miniaturization of immunodetection based analytical testing methods.
